Join Companies for Good in Shaping COP28 and Leading the Way to Sustainability
Excitement is building in the United Arab Emirates as COP28 – the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties – approaches. At Companies for Good, we are honored to be part of the sustainability initiatives actively contributing to the UAE’s vision of a greener, more sustainable future.
COP28, set to be held in Dubai, UAE, from November 30 until 12 December 2023, represents a crucial moment for global climate action, where nations, organizations, and individuals unite efforts towards preserving our planet. In this critical year of 2023, the UAE has declared its commitment to protecting the environment through a series of initiatives.
At Companies for Good, as the leading social enterprise in the UAE, we’ve been playing a key role in promoting sustainability across the 7 Emirates since 2017. Through organizing impactful team activities for companies and their employees, we’ve so far:
– successfully planted over 40,000 mangrove trees, a significant step towards the UAE’s ambitious goal of planting 100 million mangroves by 2030;
– collected more than 50,000 KG of waste from the ocean and the UAE coastline
– involved more the 20,000 people from over 350 UAE companies in our environmental activities to raise awareness and boost employee engagement
Our commitment goes beyond environmental conservation. Alongside companies in the UAE, we have been supporting children with special needs, refugee children, blue-collar workers, among other underprivileged communities. This inclusive approach to social responsibility not only fosters a more equitable society but also strengthens the foundation for a sustainable future, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, in alignment with the UAE vision.
