The Evercore team showed up in full force this morning for a beach clean-up at Jumeirah Beach in Dubai! Our team of 25 volunteers spent their morning collecting litter, plastics, and other waste materials that wash up on our shores. This hands-on beach clean-up activity not only helped protect marine life but also gave our team members a real sense of what it takes to keep our beaches clean.
Working alongside Dubai Municipality’s cleaning staff, our team gained valuable insights into the daily challenges of maintaining our beautiful coastline. The “An Hour with the Cleaning Engineer” initiative helped us understand the importance of proper waste disposal and the impact of our daily choices on the environment.
The Impact
In just two hours, our team collected:
- 15 bags of mixed waste
- Numerous plastic bottles and caps
- Cigarette butts
- Food packaging
- Discarded fishing lines
