Paddling through the waters of Abu Dhabi, the volunteers took in scenic views on their way to help rehabilitate mangrove forests. These important coastal habitats provide shelter and food sources for many species.
We are planting mangroves in Abu Dhabi, and what better way to reach the forest than by kayak!
Planting mangroves also helps mitigate climate challenges like sea level rise, erosion, and flooding. The volunteers’ work will have lasting impacts on local ecosystems.
