Experience a ride in a driverless car, have fun with your colleagues and see what the future looks like on this great tour around a unique urban development.
UAE, Qatar and Kuwait are the world’s most unsustainable countries when it comes to CO2 emissions and water consumption per capita. We need to change our habits and build innovative, forward-looking urban spaces that help the environment and enhance lives – now and in the future.
In 2008, development started on Masdar – the world’s most sustainable eco-city. Now, through smart investments, Masdar City is giving us a “greenprint” for how cities can respond to rapid urbanisation and dramatically reduce energy, water and waste.
“The best way to predict the future is to design it.”
– Buckminster Fuller, American engineer, author, designer, inventor, and futurist (1895-1983)
You’ll take a tour of Masdar City and discover the innovative techniques used to integrate construction with the environment. The visit combines walks through the narrow city corridors with expert talks about the architecture and facilities. After the visit, you’ll take part in engaging team-building game: the Masdar City treasure hunt. Participants join forces to find boxes, solve clues and discover codes while learning about our planet.
The best bit? For every company that engages with the Masdar City tour, a group of underprivileged children from UAE or Lebanon will get to enjoy a field trip too. So, you don’t just get the chance to understand sustainability first-hand and bond with your colleagues, you also give a great opportunity to children who need it.
