Today, the team from Siemens Healthineers made a real difference by planting Ghaf trees to mark this important day. The Ghaf tree-planting activity brought together employees who got their hands dirty for a good cause. These native trees are vital to the UAE’s ecosystem, and each one planted helps combat desertification while providing shade and shelter for local wildlife.
Our morning started with quick lessons on proper Ghaf tree planting techniques. Teams of two worked together, carefully positioning each sapling and making sure it had enough water and support to thrive in its new home. The satisfaction of patting down that final layer of soil around each tree was evident on everyone’s faces.
What made this activity special was seeing office colleagues connect in a whole new way outdoors. Between the digging and planting, conversations flowed naturally about sustainability, local ecosystems, and simple ways we can all help protect our environment.
